Tips for Success
- Don’t skip toasting your buns in the oven. A warm bun really elevates a sandwich.
- Buy a good quality breaded fish. Mild white fish like cod, tilapia and halibut all work well here. I love the Trident beer battered cod from Costco.
- Add your favourite toppings! Whether you’re a tartar sauce or pickles person, make sure you have your favourite toppings on hand to make it your own.

To make your own fish sandwiches, grab some frozen breaded fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia are all good choices), your favourite buns and toppings, and get ready to enjoy a speedy and delicious meal! If you need a quick and easy veggie to serve on the side, try my sauteed cabbage recipe.
